Arava Melon Seeds: Organic, Super Sweet Galia Hybrid

The Arava melon is a sweet, aromatic melon with a netted rind that turns yellow when ripe. It's a hybrid variety of Galia melon.

Characteristics :
Size: Small to medium, averaging 12–20 cm in diameter
Weight: 3-4 pounds per melon
Skin: Thin but tough, with a raised, corky netting
Flesh: Pale green, thick, smooth, and fine-grained
Taste: Sweet, almost candy-like, with tropical, floral, and nectar-like undertones
Aroma: Musky, perfumed, and honeyed

Growing:
Prefers full sun
Thrives at low temperatures
Good mildew resistance
Light, well-drained soil with a pH of 7.0 is ideal
Sow 1–2 weeks after last frost when soil is warm, above 70°F
Thin to 1 plant/spot
Melons need a steady supply of water, and soil needs to be damped but not flooded
Cut off watering 1 week before harvest

Harvesting:
Pull from the vine when the skin blushes yellow, at full slip
A ripe melon should be very easy to remove from the vine
